Salvador Dali war ein spanischer Maler und als Hauptvertreter des Surrealismus (Unwirklichkeit), zählt er zu den bekanntesten Malern des 20. Jahrhunderts!
Ich habe seine Werke vor ein paar Jahren im Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, bewundern können und mich dazu inspirieren lassen, ein Portrait von ihm zu malen.
Da ihn ein Hauch von Mystik umgibt, habe ich beim Zeichnen die Haare, die Ohren und den Hals weggelassen. So entstand:
Ich wählte für das Portrait Bleistift und Kreide und es hängt gleich im Eingang meines Studios, wo jeder, der es betritt, sich erst einmal vorsichtig umdreht, ob "der große Meister", nicht irgendwo persönlich um die Ecke schaut, ha,ha!

Salvador Dali was a Spanish painter. He is considered one of the most famous painters of the 20th century. Surrealism being his focal point.
A couple of years ago, I was able to witness his incredible pieces of art work at the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. This inspired me to draw a portrait of him.
Since he is a very mysterious type of artist, I decided to leave out his hair, ears, and neck. The result was:
"The Mask of Dreams"
For this particular piece, I chose pencil and chalk. Since, this piece has always fascinated me, I decided to hang it up at the entrance of my art studio. Here, it is located at a special spot and anyone who enters the art studio, can get a closer look at him. Take a look at the piece and let me know how it inspires you.
